I do use Screencast-O-Matic and recommend Office Mix if you use PowerPoints, but haven't used Snip much and Sway has a learning curve..other than Screencast-O-Matic, I really wonder how accessible these (and most) ed tech tools are..that seems to take a back burner...

Office Mix. Renueva tus presentaciones de PowerPoint

Office Mix. Renueva tus presentaciones de PowerPoint | Education 2.0 & 3.0 | Scoop.it

Office Mix- interactive presentation software

Office Mix- interactive presentation software | Education 2.0 & 3.0 | Scoop.it
The company is currently signing up testers for this educator targeted PowerPoint add-on.

The brand new service, likely to be targeted at the education sector based on information in various Office Mix Knowledge Base entries, transforms PowerPoint presentations into interactive, online lessons, whilst allowing users to share the document with anyone. Microsoft's goal is to turn PowerPoint presentations into classroom content by using Office Mix as it provides audio and video recording, handwriting, a screen capture tool as well as the ability to insert interactive elements such as quizzes and CK12 exercises.

What Edtech Tools Are Community Colleges Flocking To? (EdSurge News) | Education 2.0 & 3.0 | Scoop.it

Like all education ecosystems, community colleges have an array of different edtech tools to choose from. Where does one begin to search through the myriad of products out there—and find the ones best tailored to specific needs? One suggestion: Listen to other community college educators..

  • I like Screencast-O-Matic, EDpuzzle, YouTube, Kahn Academy, BigBlueButton (open source web conferencing tool) and our Sakai LMS's (open source) checklists, quizzes and assignments at our community college.
  • Other faculty use Office Mix (PowerPoint voice-overs) wikispaces, our Sakai "student content" areas (student project areas) and blogs.

Office Mix - mix your presentations

Office Mix - mix your presentations | Education 2.0 & 3.0 | Scoop.it

Turn your PowerPoint presentation into an interactive online lesson. We call this a mix. Everything you need to create and share your mix is included. Add audio and video of yourself giving your presentation, write on slides as you talk to them, insert quizzes, practice exercises, and more – all from within PowerPoint. It’s like a screencast, but better. All you need is Office 2013 and the free Office Mix add-in.

The new Microsoft PowerPoint add-in Office Mix is now available to everyone. It is going to raise your lessons to a new level, what with all the interactive elements you can add to your presentation and audience response possibilities.

The add-in works on Office 365 and PowerPoint 2013.

Looks interesting, but cannot test on my Mac!
