UDL - Universal Design for Learning

The 2Include Me site provides both the pedagogy and technology resources that fosters the use of tools to support all learners.  The have also published a resource on how UDL and DI overlap.  Here is their perspective:

 

"Universal Design for Learning [UDL] and Differentiated Instruction are principles which impart a foundation for effective implementation of technology in the classroom, whether it be the use of online resources, web 2.0 tools, specific software or classroom technologies.

 

"The principles of UDL overlap with and complement the approach of differentiated education. Much of the application of UDL principles relies on the use of technology to make learning resources and environments more flexible. Within this combined approach, the classroom is inclusive by design."
