Idea for ICT based homeworks; your thoughts and suggestions welcomed… | Great Maths Teaching Ideas | The 21st Century | Scoop.it

What is the point of homework? What are we trying to achieve by setting the kids homework?

Consolidation and practice of what was learnt in class? Promoting self-study skills and independent thought? Learning of new concepts?

I’d like to think we set homework for all these reasons.

Thomas Wilson's curator insight, May 27, 2018 11:24 PM
This website looks at what makes conventional homework video activities seem uninteresting and why students seem to forget things as soon as they're learnt them. It provides ideas and concepts that promote active learning and turns the homework into an engaging ICT format that aims to motivate students. The  'Jing' software is suggested as a software to create these homework activities.
