beware - even slightly editing your profile triggers a "congratulations on your new job" message to go out to all your followers. My supervisors did not appreciate seeing this since I didn't have a new job!

Usefu glossary for using the big 5 networking sites - also gives you some handy hints. Worth looking through - especially if you plan on using Twitter for professional development - I think it is the most valuable tool I have for connecting! I'm at @prendielearning :D
