This is the time to transform our educational system so all learners can compete and contribute to the global economy and workforce. The term "Personalized Learning" is a buzzword in education. The presenters will clarify what is and what is not Personalized Learning and define Personal Learning. They will share Personal Learning Toolkits that include charts, Common Core lesson examples, Personal Learner Profiles and Personal Learning Backpacks along with strategies to support the diversity of learners in the classroom. Presenters will walk you through how to transform a traditional classroom to a Stage One Personal Learning Environment.

The great debate in education in British Columbia seems to be Personalized Learning or Personalized Education. The focus for the chat was based on the following question:

 

“What do we mean by the personalization of education & is it desirable & achievable today?”
