Bob Wise, President of the Alliance for Excellent Education, and SLC Board Member introduces the vision of the SLC, Shared Learning Collaborative, and how they plan to support personalized learning.
"Imagine student information from multiple systems and databases being pulled together in one place, so a teacher can track each students’ progress on everything they need to learn, and provide individualized “learning maps” to help guide their personalized learning plans. And after identifying what each student needs to learn, imagine that teacher being able to easily search for just the right lesson
To help make this vision possible, the SLC – a non-profit alliance – is building a set of technology services that will allow states and districts to safely and securely provide teachers with the instructional data and tools they need, to help make personalized learning a reality for all of their students."
