I stand firm on the idea that students will dig deeper and work harder if they not only are allowed to create in class, but also are able to share. This project hit both those, plus pushed them to research and gather information on their own.

Kathleen McClaskey's insight:

This is all about "flipping the learning" where students create the tutorials for each other. This example demonstrates in how to give students ownership to their learning.

Math videos on Math Playground can be used to provide "multiple means of representation and engagement" for students who need another way to understand math concepts and processes.  I know from teacher and student testimonials how effective they have been in improving math understanding. If you have a website or LMS, link to these math videos that support all students in and out of school. Oh yes, this site has math games that kid's love.
