multi-script | #Luxembourg #EDUcation #Plurilingual #Plurilinguisme #Méisproochegkeet  | Luxembourg (Europe) | Scoop.it

Plurilingual am Sënn, datt d’Materialien a méi wéi enger Sprooch kënnen agesat ginn. Awer och am Sënn, datt se sproochiwwergräifend a –vergläichend kënne genotzt ginn, fir Zesummenhäng tëscht de verschiddene Sproochen opzeweisen. Doduerch ginn d’Materialien och net no bestëmmte Cyclen an/oder Niveauen agedeelt; villméi kann all Léierpersoun selwer d’Material entdecken a sech flott Weeër iwwerleeën, wéi d’Outile sënnvoll kënnen agesat ginn.

Dobäi setzt de SCRIPT op ënnerschiddlech Supporte fir eng grouss Bandbreet u méiglechen Tools ubidden ze kënnen: sief et duerch den Asaz vu Pouster oder Kaarten, dem Bereetstelle vun Hörstift-Bicher oder awer och dem Entwéckle vun digitale Materialien.

Luxembourg's multilingual landscape in figures

Luxembourg's multilingual landscape in figures | Luxembourg (Europe) | Scoop.it
More than two thirds of residents to the Grand Duchy use Luxembourgish at work, home or the office, a study has revealed.

According to the latest results published from the 2011 population census, 70.5 percent of the Luxembourg population can speak the national language.

And it was not just Luxembourg natives who spoke the language, the study suggests. German, Dutch and Montenegrin residents also claimed to use Luxembourg, representing the largest foreign nationality groups to do so.

The next most commonly spoken language by residents was French with more than half the population (55.7 percent) followed by German (30.6 percent).

Gust MEES's insight:

Like some said it on Facebook and I agree with that "It is a pity that in most shops the employees don't speak luxembourgish"!!! Anyone who is working in a shop should speak the national language, if not so s(he) must go to courses to learn it, that's the minimum RESPECT...

Elder people have problems to speak a foreign language, respect them also, please...

| #Luxembourg | Luxembourg (Europe) | Scoop.it
Multikulturelle Gesellschaft? Luxemburger finden Multikulti überwiegend gut – zumindest prinzipiell.
