Prezi is nothing if not divisive. Some people love it, some people hate it - I'm in neither of those camps. I find it very useful in some situations, but still use good old fashioned PowerPoint Slides for more than half the presentations I give. Prezi should be used for a reason.

Some really useful tips about structuring information and the impactful use of visuals. I haven't been a huge fan of Prezi because they can be just too "busy" and disorientating when they incorporate too much spin as they move from image to image. These tips give good advice about how to keep it simple for best effect. I've used Prezi as a way of presenting the notes from a visual group coaching session back to the participants.

Hmmm....again, some good things here, but much of this seems directed at business pitch-type presentations. For example, this lists data-rich presentations as something you should avoid. You need to FOCUS and EMPHASIZE data rich presentations.

Basic account is free but your data are public and they are retained for 1 week, however, it is a useful application for classroom activities. Sli.do also works with Google Glass and Eventbrite.

If you haven't seen Prezi or you have and want to know how to go about getting started this might give you the inspiration you need. Prezi is like PowerPoint on steroids and provides that extra bit of spark to keep the audience awake just a bit longer than PP.

This is a marvellous presentation demonstrating endless possibilities offered by Prezi. No doubt you have to practice a lot to create a similar presentation but now you know - it is possible! There is even a poem at the end of the video! :)

Great tool to use in the classroom to present lessons and concepts to students. Prezi can be used by students to present ideas, thoughts and beliefs in a digital space, where it can be shared with other students and the wider community. When this is done by the students, it is reflective of the redefinition as per the SAMR Model. This is because students are using new media and places to store their work, and then also collaborating with their fellow students, but also other stakeholders in education.
