MURAL Got a Makeover | Digital Presentations in Education | Scoop.it
Really big news. We decided it was time for an upgrade, so we've been working hard to make a better version of MURAL. Today, we’re ready to share it with you.
Baiba Svenca's insight:

I quite liked the old Mural web app but now that it has been upgraded it must be even better.

Murally: Sketching on Sticky Notes

Murally: Sketching on Sticky Notes | Digital Presentations in Education | Scoop.it

After many requests for a drawing feature, we’re happy to announce that Mural.ly now allows you to sketch your ideas out on sticky notes (and we’re pretty excited about it).

Baiba Svenca's insight:

Murally which is a multimedia presentation tool now lets you draw on sticky notes inside your presentation, so Murally has added one more option to building visually rich zooming presentations.

If you have not used Murally, I recommend trying it.

Mural.ly has novel tools. Among other, you can add sticky notes inside.

Have a go for your infographics

Mural.ly: New Features & Improvements

Mural.ly: New Features & Improvements | Digital Presentations in Education | Scoop.it

After interacting with 40,000 beta users, we are doubling down our focus to provide an easy way for creative teams to think, imagine and show their ideas.
We’ve heard and read a long list of suggestions...

Baiba Svenca's insight:

Mural.ly https://beta.mural.ly/ is a great zooming presentation tool which has recently carried out some improvements. You can enjoy visual collaboration now, add colored shapes to your canvas, and the best of the new features is Google Drive integration.

Issuu Clipper links into Murally

Issuu Clipper links into Murally | Digital Presentations in Education | Scoop.it

I was going through a PDF uploaded to the great PDF publishing service Issuu and noticed a new feature: a PDF clipper.

It works great, it’s simple and most importantly, it’s very easy to share.

If you are browsing a PDF, just hit the Clipper and select the area.

Baiba Svenca's insight:

If you are using Murally to create your presentation, make use of the new feature - PDF clipper that lets you copy a section of the PDF document and paste it straight on your Murally canvas.

Mural.ly loves Evernote

Mural.ly loves Evernote | Digital Presentations in Education | Scoop.it

We built Mural.ly to fully unleash the imagination of teams of visual people and we know that most of creative teams are already using Evernote to collect and organize their ideas and inspiration...

Baiba Svenca's insight:

Mural.ly, which is a great free innovative presentation tool, has now teamed up with Evernote which means you can add your files directly from where they are stored on Evernote. To do it, just find an Evernote icon on your canvas toolbar and drag-and-drop the selected documents or files onto your canvas.

Mural.ly: "If Evernote enhances your memory, Evernote + Mural.ly will empower your imagination."

Monica Goddard's comment, July 20, 2013 11:04 PM
I really like using Evernote. I have it on my phone, laptop and IPAD. Mural.ly would make it even better.
Steve Vaitl's curator insight, July 22, 2013 6:49 PM

Looks like an easy way to take your Evernote notebooks to a nice visual level.

Berta Solé's comment, July 26, 2013 4:10 AM
Yo también tengo que entrar en el uso de Evernote junto con Mural.ly.

Mural.ly Debuts New Version of Virtual Whiteboard Platform

Mural.ly Debuts New Version of Virtual Whiteboard Platform | Digital Presentations in Education | Scoop.it

Today, Buenos Aires-based Mural.ly released an improved version of its ideation and content publishing platform, with enhanced creative collaboration features... It lets users aggregate multimedia content from multiple sources into “Murals” that can be used much like Prezi to share ideas on a visual and multimedia-friendly whiteboard.

Baiba Svenca's insight:

Mural.ly is a great tool for creating zoomable presentations by drag-and-dropping the content from various sources to the canvas. You can invite collaborators to co-create your presentation. Easy to use for classroom presentations.

Mural.ly May Be The Mind Mapping Tool You’ve Been Waiting For

Mural.ly May Be The Mind Mapping Tool You’ve Been Waiting For | Digital Presentations in Education | Scoop.it

Mural.ly is a new tool (still in beta, launched last week) that is a cross between Prezi and mind maps. It’s easy to use and share what you create (perfect for most students, teachers, and parents) but the real beauty of mural.ly is in its lack of structure.

Ricard Garcia's curator insight, March 11, 2013 9:09 AM

Nice and catchy way to get your students to defend and describe ideas... it can be turned into a highly powerful communicative environment... make students describe their Mural.ly in front of the class!

sarspri's curator insight, April 15, 2013 1:55 PM

Another addition to the mind mapping toolkit
