Google has added Slides, the latest version of its Docs presentation software, to its suite of offline applications, as it tries to play a spoiler role with the official releases of Microsoft Office 2013 and the home user version of Office 365 right around the corner. Slides users will now be able to view and edit presentations without an Internet connection, provided they are using the Chrome Web browser or a Chrome OS device.

A convenient way to edit your presentations offline. However, you can't edit spreadsheets offline yet and you need to use Chrome browser. Android or iOS users still have to wait.

Add new cool fonts to your Google presentations, they will also work on Google docs and vice versa. To add a new font, open the drop-down menu of fonts, scroll down to Add fonts and select the ones you like.

Why choose Google Drive's Presentation app over Power Point? No reason, unless you are collaborating on a presentation. Since more students are working on projects electronically and from different locations, this could be a great tool.

Great news for Google users! Now you can edit your images or drawings in Google presentations using shape masks, i.e. crop images in different shapes instead of just a rectangle. This feature will let you produce even more exciting stories.
