Let's encourage all our kids to own and tell their stories! We begin by telling stories we learn from others, then we start making up our own. Next we tell our story to ourselves and those we love. When we construct the narrative of our journey we gain agency over our days, our experiences and our lives. Tell your 'own' story to 'own' your life! There are in fact more than 600 school districts in the States that have already adopted a 1;1 iPad program and the list is too long to include here ( check out webliography links below to learn more ).All this growing body of research clearly displays the potential of this gadget in education. It might even replace or displace computers and laptops but it is still early to confirm this fact.

Lisa Johnson and Yolanda Barker have published an eBook titled Hot Apps 4 HOTS: A Guide to Using Free Apps to Support Higher Order Thinking Skills.
The book includes nine step-by-step activities that focus on each level of Bloom's taxonomy and includes loads of links to further resources.
Like the title says, Lisa and Yolanda write about free apps and most of them work on both iPads and iPod touches.

Educreations is a new iPad app that turns your iPad into a whiteboard. You can use the app to illustrate concepts and narrate what you're doing on the screen. You can draw images from scratch on the Educreations iPad app or you can upload images and draw on them. Bringing iPods and iPads into the classroom is a great way to give students access to learning tools. However, there are so many things to keep in mind to make the devices work smoothly in the classroom. While this list of dos and don'ts mainly addresses iPod touch the same advice goes for iPod touch and iPhone.
